The Ginger Bread Girl Does a Photo Shoot
Hey guys! Today’s post is a little different than my usual. I don’t have a recipe or restaurant review to share, but I do have some photos to share from a photo shoot this past weekend! I was blown away by how amazing they turned out and knew I had to show you 🙂
I’ve been taking The Ginger Bread Girl a little more seriously lately, and I thought it was time to show that. If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ve probably (I hope!) noticed the new design. I also decided it was time to update the photos of myself to something a little more professional than one my husband took on his phone when we were on our honeymoon.
Naturally, I asked my friend Lauren from Wellesley and King to take my photos. I’ve worked with her before, and her photos are *amazing*. She somewhat recently started providing photography services, and if you’re looking for a photographer…you have to get in touch with her.
Full disclosure: this isn’t my kitchen, but isn’t it beautiful?! It’s actually our friend Monica’s kitchen, which Lauren recommended because it’s so much brighter than mine. White kitchen = prettier photos than a brown kitchen. She also has a sunroom, which is obviously perfect for photos.
It was strange to be on the other side of the camera (as I show you pictures of me behind the camera, ha!). But Lauren definitely made me feel more comfortable. It was such a fun afternoon!
I’ll work on posting the red velvet cupcake recipe I used for these, and the cookies are from Sally’s Baking Addiction.
All photos were (obviously?) taken by Lauren from Wellesley and King. Go check out her site and show her some love! I’ll be sitting here ^ daydreaming about decorating cupcakes. And a HUGE thanks to Monica for letting us use her kitchen, rearrange her furniture, and eat her snacks!
